दान दान बाबा श्री चंद जी महाराज
The elder son of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, born in 1494 at Sultanpur Lodhi. From childhood he embodied deep spiritual detachment — a yogi, ascetic, and saint who founded the Udasi Sampradaya, a living tradition of renunciation, meditation, and universal spirituality that continues to this day.
Shree Panchayati Akhada Naya Udaseen was established in 1846 by Mahant Sudhir Das at Kankhal, Haridwar — one of the recognized akharas of the Akhil Bharatiya Akhara Parishad, rooted in the eternal Udasi tradition of Baba Sri Chand Ji.
Established in 1846 by Mahant Sudhir Das. Also known as Sri Gur Naya Akhara Udasin, it is a fully recognised akhada under the Akhil Bharatiya Akhara Parishad.
Situated at Kankhal, Haridwar — the holiest of pilgrim cities on the banks of the Ganga, gateway to the Himalayas and seat of eternal spiritual energy.
The akhada follows the teachings of Baba Sri Chand Ji, reverently called Guru Chandracharya — blending Vedantic wisdom, yogic discipline and Guru Nanak's philosophy.
Governed through a Shree Panch Council of senior saints and mahants, ensuring the ancient traditions of the Udasi sampradaya are upheld with devotion and discipline.
Daily worship, meditation, yagya & havan, Sanskrit learning, satsang and spiritual discourses form the rhythm of life within the akhada's sacred precincts.
A prominent participant in Kumbh Mela through Peshwai processions and Shahi Snan — carrying forward the ancient identity of the Udasi ascetic tradition.
The living torchbearers of the Udasi tradition — saints who have dedicated their lives to tapasya, seva and the preservation of Sanatan Dharma.
Mahamandaleshwar Shri Shri 1008 Poorna Guru Karauli Shankar Mahadev Das Ji Maharaj — a luminous Mahamandaleshwar of Shree Panchayati Akhada Naya Udaseen, spiritual presiding deity of Karauli Dham. His divine teachings on national unity, universal love and the path of devotion illuminate countless souls across India. A master of both yogic discipline and devotional practice, Maharaj Ji embodies the highest ideals of the Udasi tradition.
The Udasi tradition is a living tapestry of Vedantic wisdom, yogic discipline and Guru Nanak's universal love — practiced through a life of radical simplicity, service and inner awakening.
True freedom through detachment from worldly illusion. The Udasi path is one of radical inner renunciation, not mere outward withdrawal.
Deep meditative practice and yoga form the daily foundation of Udasi life — the direct path to self-realisation and union with the divine.
Service to humanity as worship of the divine. The akhada's langar, camps and charitable work manifest this eternal principle.
Sanskrit learning, sacred discourse, and the study of Vedantic scriptures preserve and transmit the living flame of spiritual wisdom.
Beyond caste, creed and religion — the Udasi saints embody the teaching that all souls are expressions of the one divine consciousness.
The akhada stands as a living guardian of the eternal Dharma — preserving shrines, sacred practices and ancient wisdom for future generations.
Kumbh Mela participation is one of the great living identities of Shree Panchayati Akhada Naya Udaseen — a visible expression of its ancient spiritual heritage, spiritual discipline and Udasi tradition.
The grand processional entry of the akhada into Kumbh — a breathtaking spectacle of saffron-robed saints, spiritual symbols and devotional energy.
The sacred royal bath at the Sangam — the culminating spiritual act of Kumbh Mela, undertaken with profound simplicity in the true Udasi spirit.
Satsangs, spiritual discourses and teaching gatherings at which the mahants and saints illuminate the teachings of Baba Sri Chand Ji.
Sacred assemblies of saints, renunciants and pilgrims — reaffirming the spiritual bonds of the Udasi tradition and Sanatan Dharma.
The akhada's commitment to selfless service is the living expression of Guru Nanak's compassion — reaching the poorest of the poor, the pilgrim, the student and the seeker.
"The word 'Udasi' means detachment from worldly illusion and total dedication toward divine consciousness — this is the living teaching of Baba Shri Chand Ji, carried forward through every generation of this sacred akhada."— Udasi Sampradaya Tradition
